Perfectly sized and equipped for single day missions, the new Sparta™ includes over 30L of cargo, laser-cut Mountain™ MOLLE and our new 3L, 100oz Mil Spec Crux™ Lumbar Reservoir, which delivers 25% more water per sip. Low Rider™ technology uses a lumbar reservoir to move the water weight low for increased stability and a lower center of gravity. It is constructed of 500D Double-Rip Cordura® fabric for long lasting durability.

  • Low RiderReservoir compartment shifts weight down on the back
  • Four-zipper, full clamshell opening on main compartment
  • Webbing waistbelt with lumbar adjustment stows when not in use
  • Multiple drink tube exit ports – for routing tube over the shoulder or under an arm

Overall I like the Sparta
Overall I like the Sparta 100oz backpack and it is very much what I expected. Two suggestions would be 1) Place a similar hand strap on the bottom of the bag that is at the top of the bag. 2) Have an open sleeve (water bottle size) on the left exterior side of the backpack (the opposite side of the side zippered sleeve).

My new go to and favorite Travel Pack!
I love this new bag, it holds my entire minimal travel setup with the shell outfit and has great hydration system as well. My old one is nice but lacked hydration bag spot, so I had to have a smaller camel bak pack in addition. Now I can go with just the Sparta on minimal style travel trips. I got the mole straps for the front and am gonna use the ad on water bottle holder as well for extra high quality H2O!

This is the one!!!
I've gone through a couple packs looking for the right one and I have found it in the Camelbak Sparta. It is versatile, roomy and comfortable. From half day hikes to high altitude elk hunting in Colorado this is my new go to pack. The Sparta is far more comfortable when loaded out that anu of the other packs i have previously used. The pack is well though out in design, from the large compartment openings to the small storage areas that are all over this pack. My only suggestion on future design additions would be to add molle attachments to the sides of the pack for add-ons such as rifle or bow set up. Aside from that, this was the right pack for me I would recommend this item to others with confidence. Thank you Camelbak for making a great product!
