Description

When you're on the mountain, the last thing you want is to be looking for the one piece of gear that fell to the bottom – especially when you're wearing gloves. The SnoBlast's tri-zip design lets you choose between opening the top of the pack, or unzipping it down the side to instantly access all of your gear. When you really want to load up, the external attachment points let you strap on additional gear. In addition to our 2L Crux® reservoir, the Therminator™ harness also keeps your insulated drinking tube zipped securely into the shoulder strap, which keeps it from freezing in cold weather so you stay hydrated on even the coldest peaks.

Features

  • Snowshed Material: Repels snow and keeps it from sticking to your pack
  • Therminator Harness: Drinking tube zips into an insulated sleeve in the shoulder strap to protect your water supply from the elements
  • Ski Carry: Use the external straps to carry skis A-frame style on the outside of the pack
  • Tri-Zip Access: Three-zipper design lets you unzip the side of the pack for quick access to gear stored at the bottom
  • Expansion Panel: Expansion panel unzips to add more storage capacity to your pack
  • Snowboard Carry: Secure a snowboard for easy transportation
  • Adjustable sternum strap slides up and down the harness for a custom fit
  • Lift Access QR Harness: Easily swing the pack around for quick access on the lift
  • 2L Crux Reservoir with an ergonomic handle for easier refilling, and an on/off lever that makes it easy to prevent leaks

I love everything about this
I love everything about this bag! The main reason I purchased it was for the protective sleeve to reduce the chance of the hose freezing. I skiied for 5 days in Colorado with temps in the teens or higher. The hose never froze! Plenty of storage for a day on the hill. Easy to fill the bladder.

Perfect size and very functional.
Perfect size and very functional. Waterproofing works great. Recently spent three days skiing in suboptimal rainy conditions and the pack performed perfectly.

Awesome Pack for a Full Day of Snowboarding!
I needed a new Camelbak after the last one I took out had gotten all wet, and the water tube had frozen when I had went snowboarding (my fault though since I brought my regular hiking bag). The SnoBlast 22 Hydration Pack remedied all that though! I am able to keep my extra layers in the backpack, along with my spare gloves, snacks, and other odds and ends when out snowboarding. Plus, I can keep hydrated all day long, whether it's on the ski lift, or taking a rest on the slopes, with no freezing water in the tube thanks to the insulated sleeve. Really happy with this purchase, and it doesn't interfere or feel heavy when I am riding; barely notice it's there, but I am thankful it is!

Does the Job
The pack is pretty well thought out, the hose hasn’t frozen on me yet, the nozel is easy to turn on and off, and it’s just the right size to not have to remove on the lift if your not overloaded. Easy to use with gloves on as well. As far as durability nothing has fallen off yet.

I love this thing
I pretty much lived with this thing on for 12 days while resort skiing in the alps and traveling internationally. It is amazing. Pockets that are easy to organize and keep separate, zippers that are easy to use with gloves. The weather wasn’t super cold -10 - + 10 C, but my friends had their mouth pieces and hoses freeze, but mine was able to stay wet as long as I was taking a drink every 1-2 runs. The material is durable enough that leaving it in the snow or accidentally dragging it on the floor of a bus showed no issues. I used the ski straps one time to make bringing my skis to the mountain easier. The angle was perfect and I didn’t hit my feet at all while walking. The top pocket is great for spare lenses and I was the one keeping the lenses for the whole crew since I had a good pocket for it. The zippers and seams show a bit of wear after a full 2 weeks of daily use and abuse, but this is most likely because I was using it to keep my base and mid layers compressed. I might never ski without a bag again.
