Ryan Standish is a professional cyclist and owner of apparel company, Rocket Sloth Co, who has devoted his platform to raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.

Standish grew up in Alice Springs, Australia and quickly fell in love with riding bikes and taking on big adventures. His enthusiasm for cycling took him to the competition circuit where he participated in XCO and road racing throughout high school and college.

After graduating from Fort Lewis College with a BA in Exercise Science, Standish took some time away from his bike, in favor of a more fluid life, free from the structure demanded by training.

However, he couldn’t stay away too long and after a few years he made the decision to come back to sport that had shaped much of his life. His time away had brought him increased clarity and intense focus, perfect for the longer endurance races and gravel scene. As well, it gave him the space to start Rocket Sloth Co.—his own apparel brand that donates a portion of its sales to the National MS Society.

Standish’s work is deeply connected to MS awareness, having started Rocket Sloth as a way to honor his father, who is affected by MS. He hopes that his platform, fundraising and work brings more awareness to MS and its effect on many people’s lives around the world.
