CAMELBAK®, THE LEADER IN HYDRATION, SHOWS ITS NEWEST
From Gloves, New Fabric and Packs, CamelBak Continues Tradition of Excellence in Performance and Durability
Petaluma, CA (January 15, 2009)
Sally McCoy, CEO of CamelBak®, announced today that
two gloves in the company’s Maximum® Gear FR (Flame Resistant) Glove line , the Friction Fighter™ NT and the
Max Grip™ NT gloves, received
approval for all aviation from the United States Air Force.
CamelBak is committed to providing quality equipment that enables warfighters to focus on the job at hand, not on their equipment. Some of the products highlighted at SHOT Show ’09 will be:
- Friction Fighter NT glove and the Max Grip NT glove—Aviation Approved by US Air Force
- Lighter weight fabric—500 D Cordura® maintains the same strength as the previously featured 1000 D but is even lighter
- Newly-developed TriZip™ tactical pack—3-zipper design features patented Futura Harness by Mystery Ranch
- ThermoBak® AB™Hydration Pack—can be used alone or attached directly to body armor
The Friction Fighter NT and the Max Grip NT gloves are manufactured with digitally-textured leather which is featured on the palm, fingers and knuckles of these gloves. The textured leather is critical to the effectiveness of the gloves; it provides added durability and extra grip in any conditions of use.
CamelBak has also improved their line of tactical packs. In an effort to lighten the packs, CamelBak is now manufacturing the BFM™500, H.A.W.G.® 500 and Motherlode™500 and the TriZip™packs with 500 D Cordura, with a tighter weave that has the same strength as the previously featured 1000 D but is even lighter. This change brings lighter gear and products to combat and training missions with no loss in performance.
Also being showcased by CamelBak throughout 2009 is the newly-developed TriZip tactical pack featuring a unique 3-zipper design which provides fast and easy access to gear from multiple points. The new TriZip pack also features the patented Futura Harness by Mystery Ranch, enabling the user to custom fit the harness to their specific torso size as well as make adjustments to the pack so it can be worn with or without other body armor. According to Hunter Shoop, GMI Product Manager, “Improving speed and ease were our goals in developing this pack. After listening to feedback, our design team jumped right on a new design and developed a completely unique 3-zipper system. Now, it’s effortless for warfighters to access their gear while staying on the move.”
CamelBak will also show their all-new ThermoBak AB Hydration Pack at SHOT Show ‘09. Developed in direct response to feedback from soldiers in the field, CamelBak re-engineered its attachment system for complete armor integration. Hunter Shoop, GMI Product Manager for CamelBak, remarked, “Adding a pack to our line that allows the warfighter to carry heavy loads with or without body armor, as well as improving the speed and access to gear were the major goals in developing this pack.”
CamelBak is once again setting the standard to which all others will be compared.
